1. The Root Chakra (Muladhara) is the chakra of stability, Mother Earth, feelings of safety, trust and security. The color is red and the resonant pitch is “C”. It is located at the base of the torso and governs the large intestine and pelvis.

2. The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) is the chakra of sexuality, vitality and creative expression. The color is orange and the resonant pitch is “D”. It is located two inches below the navel and governs the sexual organs, kidneys, and bladder.

3. The Solar Plexus (Manipura) is the chakra of will, sense of self, personal power, and self-control. The color is yellow and the resonant pitch is “E”. It is located two inches above the navel and governs digestion, small intestines, and autonomic nervous system.

4. The Heart Chakra (Anahata) is the chakra of love, empathy, compassion, and generosity of spirit. The color is green and the resonant pitch is “F”. It is located in the center of the chest and governs heart, lungs and blood circulation.

5. The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) is the chakra of verbal expression in speaking the highest truth. The color is blue and the note is “G”. It is located at the larynx and governs the throat, esophagus and trachea.

6. The Brow Chakra (Ajna) is the chakra of intuition, perception, spiritual wisdom and awareness. The color is indigo and the resonant pitch is “A”. It is located in the center of the forehead and known as the “third eye” and governs the nervous system, eyes, ears, nose, and cerebellum.

7. The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) is the chakra of enlightenment, self-realization, and connection with the divine. The color is white and gold and the resonant pitch is “B”. It is located at the top of the head, governs the brain and feeds the entire organism.

Earth Element is the feminine element of the Mother Goddess and represents stability, regeneration, and growth. All other elements move upon this foundation of Gaia’s plains, forests, mountains, valleys, and meadowlands. Within us, it is the element of stability. Water Element is the element of emotions and intuitive realms. Her places are seas, lakes, rivers, marshes, wells, pools, and the rain-drenched land. Air Element governs the movement of wind from the mountain tops, windy plains, clear or cloudy skies and the gentle touch of her spirit upon our face on a summer day. Air creates movement and rhythm as all of nature from the birds to the trees dance to her bidding. Within us, it is the element of change and flow.

Love Element is Gaia’s heart in action as it is expressed through humankind. Love can be heard in the joyful voices of children, in music, in-kind words of compassion, and in the murmurs of all furred, feathered, winged and scaled creatures that are also her children. We are her voice and her hands and as we cherish ourselves, others and all living things, we cherish her.

Fire Element is associated with the sun, the giver of life. Within us, it governs passion, intensity, desire, intuition, understanding, imagination, and possibilities. Fire cleanses and purifies. It is also creative and destructive, and it can consume everything in its path. Fire is the creative spark within us, promoting courage and strength.

Spirit Element is the force within Gaia that unites all things, everywhere and nowhere. Spirit transports us beyond our limited awareness and offers the expanded reality as she takes us beyond all thought and emotion. Within us, Spirit offers a profound awareness of who we truly are. This numinous element is Gaia’s heart and is her gift to us who live within her body.

​Ethereal Element is the energetic and geometric web of all life. This element permeates and connects everything from the depth of Gaia’s body to the farthest arms of the cosmos. This primordial element was the birth mother of Gaia as she waited in stillness until the creative sound of the OM called her out of slumber. We are this element, as is all creation.
